this is an opportunity for 1 - 2 travelers to stay with us in a cozy 1 bedroom flat at our home here in the Lofoten Islands. this experience is meant for those looking for a creative, wellness or restorative retreat surrounded by nature and the magic of this place.

depending on the goal of your trip, we can tailor extras for your retreat to include hikes with us, art workshops, adventures to some of our favorite places or you can just use the time at our home to relax, explore Lofoten, recharge and unplug. our home is quiet, surrounded by fields and sandy beaches. here you can truly unwind and reconnect with yourself and nature.

if you’re interested in booking a private massage with Alena or a private yoga class with Hedda, two of our friends and amazingly talented practitioners, we can help arrange this.

we should note that these stays are primarily structured for our guests to experience our property and beautiful surroundings on their own, and the “extras” such as guided hikes and astrology workshops are specific, pre-planned activities when we spend time with our guests. We share this so expectations are clear :)

  • This retreat is open to anyone who is looking for a quiet, peaceful experience in Lofoten. This space is intended for those who want to experience the magic of our home, the cozy life we have created here.

  • All of them!

  • Depending on the retreat we plan for you, we can include some activities where we hang out, but this goal of this offering is for a mostly a private experience where you get to share our home with us as we go about our daily lives.

  • When you are staying with us (Rachel and Charles) you’ll meet our friendly dogs Knute and Rowan, you may catch a glimpse of our shy cat, Hannah, and depending on the season, you'll likely meet the many song and shorebirds, snowshoe hares and sheep that live here too.

  • If you are interested in adding a specific workshop our experience to your retreat, please let us know. Some options are watercolor painting, drawing and sketching, photography, astrology, building your own brand, birding and ecology.

  • Some of Lofoten’s best hikes can be accessed on foot from the house!

    Want to surf in the arctic? One of Lofoten’s best surfing beaches is just a 10 minute walk from the house. At the beach, you can rent surfboards and wetsuits! (you can also get tacos from their beach bar!)

  • The focus of these retreats is health, wellness, creativity, reconnecting with ourselves and nature.

    We therefore ask that you do not smoke, drink alcohol or play loud music. Only those who are invited to join a retreat are allowed to visit the house.

    Our home is a quiet, calm place, and we believe you’ll love that energy when you get here.

  • We want to keep our home as private as possible, and the places we take you, too so that we can keep the magic alive! So, please do not geo-tag any of these locations :)

  • Generally the answer is sadly no. But on rare occasions, if it’s a female dog that gets along with other dogs, and is not in heat, then we can discuss the option :) Please send us a note if you’d like to travel with your dog!
