Goals for the retreat, inclusion, health + wellness, pets and kids:
The goal of this retreat is to create a space to build community around a shared love for wellness, personal growth, nature and wildlife, art and astrology, movement and mountains, extraordinary places, unforgettable experiences and feeling the arctic weather in all of it’s forms from wind and sun to rain and beautiful clouds.
While we love our pets like family, and love hearing from families that they’d like to bring their children, sadly, this is not the retreat for either pets or children but we hope to have family friendly retreats in the future! But, if you have a teenager who is excited about engaging in thoughtful conversations and contributing to the community experience, then we are happy to consider your joint application!
And for the sake of the community we are gathering, we ask that you do not smoke, and we ask that you do not drink excessively at the retreat. Our aim is to create and foster a healthy, safe and inclusive, positive weeklong experience where we can laugh, play, learn, grow and experience the wonderful world of Lofoten in summer.
Your health and safety are at the heart of everything we do. Please take a moment to read Terms and Conditions and our Health & Wellness Policy below to understand how we care for our community and ensure every retreat remains safe and restorative for all.

At Arctic Dreams Retreats, our activities and daily rhythm are guided by the elements. Surfing and sailing are weather-dependent and may not always be possible when ocean or wind conditions make them unsafe. If plans shift, rest assured that your days will still be rich with adventure, movement, and the kind of experiences that make this remote corner of the world so transformative.
-
Lofoten is celebrated for it’s beauty but is occasionally subject to extreme weather conditions, regardless of the season. Please be aware that there will be no refunds issued due to adverse weather conditions.

Travel Insurance Suggestions: Many credit card companies offer travel insurance for card holders, sometimes at no additional charge. This can be a great solution!
Another company that has been recommended to us is Allianz Travel Insurance. We have heard good reviews but don’t have any personal experience with them.

Why can’t Arctic Dreams Retreats offer driving transportation for our retreats? Due to local business operating laws and driving regulations in Norway, we are not able to drive the group. But we will help you connect with one another in a WhatsApp group chat to coordinate driving and carpooling.

At Arctic Dreams Retreats, the wellbeing of our guests and team is our top priority. Because our retreats are intimate experiences where guests share close living spaces, bathrooms, and meals, we must take health and safety seriously. If you have an infectious or contagious health condition that could put others at risk, we’re regretfully unable to welcome you to the retreat. Likewise, if you’re ill or experiencing contagious symptoms before your arrival, we ask that you stay home to recover or if you’ve already arrived in Norway, book your own accommodations until your symptoms pass and a doctor clears you to join the group.
This policy exists out of love and respect — for you, for our community, and for the collective wellbeing that makes these retreats so special. Please ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment should you face an unforeseen illness or condition that prevents you from joining us.
